Jim Mellon, M.A.

Jim Mellon, M.A. is Chairman and Founder ofBurnbrae Group.
 
Jim is a visionary entrepreneur with a flair for identifying emerging global trends. Jim has co-authored a number of books and developed an investment philosophy which has led him to be recognized as one of the most successful investors of his generation.
 
Jim’s book entitled Wake Up! was published by John Wiley in 2005. In this book he cited catalysts for the impending global financial crisis including unsustainable levels of consumer debt in the western world, a U.S. housing crash, highly leveraged derivative financial instruments, and governmental fiscal mismanagement.
 
More recently he co-authored the book Cracking the Code in 2012 and Fast Forward in 2014 which focused on investment opportunities in the biopharma and technology sectors respectively. His next book entitled Juvenescence is due to be published in August 2017 which focuses on the scientific advances that will lead humans to an average life expectancy of 115 years, the future advances that may push us beyond this upper limit, and the investment opportunities that will stem from this.

Jim has built a worldwide business empire consisting of a variety of businesses, from hotel chains, banks, natural resources, biotech companies to online gaming. Jim has remained amongst the top 10% in the Sunday Times Rich List for a number of years.
 
He holds a master’s degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from Oxford University.
