Dr. Nonthapat “Brave” Pulsiri

Nonthapat “Brave” Pulsiri, Ph.D. is a Business Expert and Policy Researcher. He is the Founder and CEO of the Ava Health Group in Bangkok, Thailand.

Currently, Brave is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Toulouse Business School, where he conducts research in the areas of sustainable space, sustainable aerospace, and new space. He is also the Sirius Chair for researching space policies and proposing new directions to develop the space business ecosystem.

Ava Health Group is a Bangkok-based startup specializing in medical tourism for international clients, partnered with several world-class hospitals in Thailand.

Brave regularly writes on the topics of healthcare, medical tourism, agribusiness, and space farming. He also writes the white book’s chapters on the scope of the space sector.

Previously, he worked as Government Researcher for more than eight years for various ministries in Bangkok where he focused mainly on transmedia storytelling, television standards for people with disability projects, and other communication projects for the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society and was in charge of satellite communication projects for the Ministry of Public Health and National Institute for Emergency Medicine. He also worked on advanced nanomaterial research at Chulalongkorn University and Case Western Reserve University in the USA and was involved with space exploration projects for the International Space Agency.

Brave earned his Ph.D. in 2020 in Innovation Management with the national excellent Ph.D. Thesis award at the Institute for Knowledge and Innovation – South East Asia of Bangkok University, in collaboration with George Washington University and Telecom Business School. His thesis was praised as a real contribution to Thailand’s health policy and implementation in the area of satellite communication for emergency medical services. Brave earned his Master’s Degree of Arts in International Business Development in 2013 from Burgundy School of Business in Dijon France, and a Bachelor’s Degree of Engineering in Nanoengineering from the International School of Engineering (ISE) at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand in 2009.

In 2009, after he graduated, Brave became a Controller at Serco, the world’s first controller team for long-distance driverless train systems. He continued working for various companies ranging from Wine Export to Corporate Analyzing and Project Management in the fields of Banking and Health policies.

After his Master’s in 2013, Brave became Lecturer and Teacher at the Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University for the Ministry of Education where he taught University-level courses in Strategic Management, Operational Management, and Global Supply Chain Management to English Program students at Innovation and Management College.

In 2016, he started his work as Syndicate Loan Agent for Agency Services, Siam Commercial Bank Public Company.

Brave served as a Board Member of the International Space Agency (2019–2021), a Facilitator of The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (2021–2022), and a Facilitator of the World Health Organization (2018).

In 2022, Brave attended the Portland International Conference on Management of Engineering and Technology (PICMET) where he presented Ad-Astra: A Bibliometric Analysis of Lunar and Mars Explorations, Mars Terraforming: A New Plan for the Red Planet, and The Emerging Technology Identification of Ambulance Technologies in Thailand. In 2022, he also attended the International workshop on Measurement and Control of Robotics where he presented his Drones in Emergency Medical Services: A Systematic Literature Review with Bibliometric Analysis.

Recently, Brave gave a lecture on The Pathway Towards Sustainable Space.
